Surf Lessons with WaveFreaks
Standard beginners surf lessons are 2 hours long with all equipment included. You will need to be able to swim 50 metres in order to take part. The lessons take part at the home of the first artificial surf reef at Boscombe Pier, Bournemouth. All instructors are beach lifeguards and BSA qualified surf instructors.
Both Philip Locke and Terry Crump are Level 2 BSA qualified surf instructors.

All Day / Weekend Surf Experience
Ideal for corporate team building, stag & hen parties as well as birthday parties (kids parties can also be catered for). Book a full day or weekend experience, learn all aspects of surfing. To start your day, enjoy a hearty breakfast at Pier Point Restaurant where we will meet you and talk you through your surfing day. We will then take you into Sorted Surf Shop where our instructors will introduce you to the equipment. Wavefreaks recommends Urban Beach Hotel for accommodation.
If you are looking to book a weekend experience, accommodation can be provided at an extra cost, surf permitting. Price on application to include breakfast, lunch and accommodation if required.
Group Surf Lessons
Got a group of people that want to learn to surf? We cater for all types of parties including stag/hen do's, birthday parties and corporate days out. You will need to be able to swim 50 metres.
Depending on the size of your group or party, we offer a wide range of surf lessons, surf games and alternative beach activities.
Kidz Surf Camp
- Surf camps run from 10am til 12pm and 2pm til 4pm, Monday to Friday. Learn surf safety, team building, surf games, ocean awareness for kids between 10 and 16 years old.

1 to 1 Surf Lessons
WaveFreaks will teach you about water safety, surfing fitness and help improve your surfing technique. The 1 to 1 surf lessons are given by BSA qualified surf instructors who will offer advice on buying surf equipment and how to improve your surf skills.
